FIRST THING'S FIRST
Proper posture is the proper alignment of your body. A balanced body eliminates any limitations and compensations you have while in locomotion.

Think of the human body as a car. Alignment exercises are equivalent to getting the car's wheels aligned. You want everything to be aligned before taking the car out.
Similar to the body, we do "alignment" to prevent injury as well as improving movement efficiency.

In a proper aligned body, stability follows mobility and the combination of the two results in ideal locomotion.
